About Me.
Founder & Owner of HollyBirdVA - your Virtual Assistant Agency
I needed career with a purpose.
The idea of using my business experience and admin skills to help other business owners seemed like a great opportunity for me, and after initially launching HollyBirdVA as a solo endeavour, I learnt a lot about myself. Aren’t those journeys of self discovery wonderful! I was so excited about the range of skills that I had to offer the world, gained through years of experience and learning.
As HBVA progressed and I took on more clients, I realised that my favourite part of the job was interacting with my clients, networking and building relationships, and coming up with ideas. The admin tasks themselves weren’t really doing it for me. Sitting behind my laptop all day just wasn’t sustainable. But I already had this established business and network. So, what to do? What direction could I take my business in that would allow me to keep the focus on my extroverted nature and interpersonal skills? How could I use those skills to continue helping other business owners? I had done a fair bit of online networking with other virtual assistants and often found that they were really excited about their businesses but they were generally introverted and terrified of networking and marketing themselves. I also kept getting queries from within my network from people who wanted services that I just didn’t offer.
And then that lightbulb moment came.
Could I help to put the slightly-shy-yet-super-talented VAs together with the service-hungry clients? Yes! Why not? And Lo! HollyBirdVA - the agency - was born!
There are still certain projects that I enjoy working on myself and certain clients to whom I offer personal support, but now I have a whole team of VA experts behind me, ready to help your business soar!

More About Me
Like most women, I wear many hats every day. I am a mum to two wonderful children, Reuben (7) and Skylar (5). and a wife to a dedicated husband, Matt, who works as a Lead Project Engineer for Safran Seats. The four of us live on the edge of the picturesque town of Malmesbury in North Wiltshire.
Matt and I also share a passion for partner dancing and regularly go to Ceroc (modern jive) classes and freestyles in our local franchise and are on the crew to help at class nights and events. We entered our first competition last year and came 3rd in the “Newcomer” Category!
I take my tea black - no sugar. I like watching TV to wake me up the mornings. I love being with friends. I’m developing my gardening instincts, and I also sell Tropic Skincare products!
My Experience
I worked as PA for a professional individual. In this role I assisted primarily with personal finance support, organisation of office and documents, and property management.
I was a small business manager for 4 years. I provided customer service, managed and recruited staff, ran payroll and managed the pension scheme, made purchase orders, managed invoices and bookkeeping, utilities, networking, and everything else that goes along with running a small business. In this role I also planned and hosted author and speaking events.
I’ve run family church services and author events, managed weddings, and hosted large parties.
I provided copywriting, proofreading and editing services to publishers and individuals on a freelance basis for several years.
This diverse background has provided me with experience which makes me uniquely qualified to offer services as a VA and event host.
“Holly and I worked together for several years”
